 “Mycorrhizal Fungi,” Jeff Lowenfels, garden columnist, author, lecturer, and founder of Plant a Row for the Hungry.  Mycorrhizal Fungi: Get ready. These are the next big things in growing plants. After you hear Jeff Lowenfels explain their role, you will surely start using them yourself. As always, this is learning science the Lowenfels way: plenty of humor and lots of useful information. Jeff Lowenfels is the longest running garden columnist in North America, a huge proponent of organics and, without question, the most entertaining horticultural speaker on the circuit. He is also the author of two award-winning, best-selling books on organic growing, farming and gardening: Teaming With Microbes: The Organic Gardener's Guide to the Soil Food Web and Teaming with Nutrients: The Organic Gardener's Guide to Optimizing Plant Nutrition.
